HELLO HELLO MY  LOVELY SUBSCRIBERS😊

Today we went to the LABI-HOVUZ.

And I want to write informations and facts about it.

Are you ready?

GOOD. Lets start my blog.

Labi hovuz which is translated as " at the pond"is one of the central squares of Bukhara situated in the southeast part of the city. The architectural ensemble was created in the 16th-17th centuries. The square has the form of an irregular polygon with the Divan-Begi madrasah in the eastern part. In the western part, opposite the madrasah, is the Divan-Begi khankah.
The central part of the square is occupied by a hauz(pool, pond),which is the largest and most ancient among the constructions of this type in the whole Central Asia. The reservoir is an octagonal pond, 42m by 36m and up to 5 m deep, with no drainage. The walls of the pool have the form of stone steps. The reservoir has a volume of 4,300m, water coming into it from a system of canals.

The whole of the northeast part is occupied by the large Kukeldash madrasah. An original bronze statue of Hoja Nasreddin, a wit and a hero of folk stories, was erected among the trees near the Divan-Begi madrasah. The estimated size of the Labi Hovuz ensemble is 150m by 200m. The first Labi Hovuz building that has been preserved to our days appeared in 1569, when Nodir Divanbegi, a high official of Abdullakhan II of the Sheybanid dynasty, offered to build a madrasah, the largest in Central Asia.
And then we entered to the Nadir Devonbegi madrasah- is part of the architectural ensemble of the XVI-XVII centuries Labi Hovuz. The madrasah was built in 1622-1623, by the vizier of Imamkulikhan, uzbek dignitary Nodir Devanbegi run as a caravan sarai, but was later  converted into a madrasah. In 1993, the madrasah, along with other monuments of the historical center of Bukhara, was included in the UNESCO World Heritagr List.

Nadir Devonbegi khanaka is located opposite of the madrasah, thus forming a kosh with a khanaka. On the central line of the kosh is the house Devonbegi. The portal of the madrasah is decorated with mosaic images of fallow deer and two Simurg birds that look at the sun. The remains of the mosaics are visible on the side facades.
According to legend, Nadir Devanbegi planned to open a caravan sarai and earn some extra money:Labi Hovuz square was a busy shopping area at that time, so there would be no end to  the guests. But an overlay came up: at the time of the discovery, Khan Imamkuli, for his own reasons, called the construction of the madrasah, a spiritual school.

As a result, Nadir Devanbegi parted with plans to earn extra money and gave the building to believers, especially since it was opposite the khanaka, built by the same unlucky divanbegi. However, this was not in vain and Nadir earned the glory of a great philanthropist and defender of Islam.

AND THATS ALL MY DEARS.
SEE YOU SOON 😊🌹
SINCE TOMORROW💓
